WordCamp Epic Question Prompts A Drupal Diss from WordPress Fan!

Matt wrapped up his State of the Word address at WordCamp SF 2010 by challenging the audience to ask him an “Epic Question”.

A young Journalism student from Reno took the microphone and said how her University had made WordPress (because it is so awesome!) the mandatory platform for publishing their content, and required students to do their HomeWork using WordPress for posting their articles.

So her Epic Question was

How can we make WordPress fun to use, so that the students get motivated and encouraged to complete their homework using WordPress?

At this, Matt and sever other people from the audience started giving answers and suggestions. The student, however, did not appear to be satisfied with any of the answers thus far.

Then, in the middle of all the shouting and yelling, some (wordpress fan obviously as you will see) shouted

Make them use Drupal first!

At this, the entire hall erupted into a laughter!
