  1. Google’s SEO Report Card – How much advantage does google take of the best practices on it’s own site?
  2. Google practically swims in PageRank. We even do not have any team that works on SEO.
  3. Google published an SEO Starter Guide in November 2008 (1:15)
  4. Google took over 100 google properties and found out how they scored on search result presentation, URLs and redirects, on-page optimizations. Many of the products missed the basics!
  5. It is kind of hard to change the internal linkage of your site (2:40)
  6. Had 4 Completely different URLs all served up exact same content on our site.BAD! (3:00)
  7. Google named products pretty well. On title tag, they missed including simple keywords that are white hat and completely descriptive (3:15)
  8. Some Product links didn’t link to canonical URLs. Avoid 404 Errors (3:40)
  9. Use Google’s webmaster tools to monitor your 404 Errors(3:55).
  10. Google‘s descriptive text was pretty good in internal links.(4:10)
  11. Google took the SEO Audit Report Card and put it live on the blog. Go to WebmasterTools blog, download it (49 pages) and learn to make simple fixes on your website to rank better in search engines.
